Nine teams
participated in the 2004 Pociatek Pohár, the 4th tournament of its kind to
take place.
Tournament
favourites and joint second favourites reached the final, so no surprises
there. New team EPIC were surprise 3rd place finishers.
Defending
champions PWC finished 4th, having been knocked out in a heated semi-final
against the eventual winners Wilderness.
Tournament
hosts, having lost key players on the day of the tournament, were the
first to be knocked out, despite beating the holders PWC in their third
group match. Sack the manager!
At the end
of the tournament, goals were tallied and two scorers finished on 6 goals
each. A shootout was played to determine who would take the trophy. Dozens
of kicks later, Branislav Fatul beat Peter Svarc to win the top goal
scorer trophy.
The only
negative point was that Cenkovce decided not to turn up!
