For the second year running, Lukas Ciganek drew the balls (well, crumpled up pieces of paper actually) from the hat and the teams were split quite evenly as follows:

Tournament favourites and holders Wilderness  escaped an early meeting with arch-rivals SEWS and cheers were heard when both Akkies teams were drawn in the same group!

Each team in the group games won at least one match each, just showing how close the level each group was. Wilderness finished the group stage unbeaten and were looking in fine form to win the competition for a third year.

However, the quarter finals saw the holders go out  to 2 FC Tryskac and surprisingly all four qualifying teams from group II went onto the semi finals!!

2 FC Tryskac were over the moon to finish 3rd after winning the penalty shoot-out against Alcatel; the latter who were again unable to produce the goods in the 3rd place play-off...

Sews found themselves in the final for the fifth year in a row and must have been grateful that they were not playing a) Wilderness; who beat them in the last two finals or b) 2 FC Tryskac; who beat them in the group and also knocked out Wilderness! EPIC were their opponents in the final for their first cup final; delighted to go one further than the previous year.
